Cake consultations are by appointment only. Wedding cake tasting and consultation must be agreed on by email and there is a non-refundable consultation fee to be paid prior to consultation date.
PRICE QUOTATIONS / REVIEW
All price quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of quotation.
It is your responsibility to read through and check all details of the quote fully and any changes to be made in writing. We will try our best to make change to the design, however this is not always possible due to the nature of the request or amount of notice given.
In case of some alterations the balance might need to be amended.
PAYMENT AND DEPOSIT
We require a 50% non-refundable deposit to confirm an order and hold your date. The remaining 50% is due 4 weeks before the delivery date, and all changes must be agreed and confirmed by that time. Any changes the previously agreed design may incur extra fees). Orders placed less than 6 weeks in advance of the delivery date must be paid in full.
A final invoice will be sent to you 5 weeks prior to your event. The balance must be cleared 4 weeks prior to the delivery/collection date. Failure to complete payment 4 weeks before the delivery date may result in your order being cancelled. By making a payment the Buyer is accepting these Terms and Conditions.
REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS
Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances due to any loss of business because of turning away other bookings on that date. Full payments made less than 4 weeks in advance of the delivery date are non-refundable for the same reason. Full payments made more than 4 weeks in advance of the delivery date are subject to a cancellation fee. If an order is cancelled more than 4 weeks in advance of the delivery date 50% of the amount (remaining after the deposit) can be refunded. We cannot refund the cost of any orders cancelled with less than 4 week’s notice. It is very unlikely (never happened before) but in case we have to cancel your order for any reason, we will notify you as soon as possible and try to offer you a suitable alternative. Should you not accept our suggested alternative, and then we will refund the full price.
Alterations and amendments must be submitted in writing and please notify us about any request immediately. We will endeavour to make alterations where possible but it depends on the amount of notice given. Some alterations might need a surcharge.
In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, it is the customer’s responsibility to report the damage with photographic evidence attached. We accept no liability for cakes that are damaged after they have been delivered to the previously agreed location. We require a signed delivery note by the person in charge to say that the cake has arrived and that it arrived in perfect condition. When cakes are collected from our shop, we need a signature from your delivery person in charge, that they received the cake in perfect condition. We will provide you with delivery instructions. Damages after the products left our premises are not our responsibility.
ALLERGIES, INTOLERANCES AND OTHER SPECIAL DIETARY NEEDS
Please discuss any allergies or special dietary requirements with us at the time of ordering. All your requirements will be confirmed on your quote as well. We offer several dietary options, however, our products are not suitable for those with allergies as in our kitchen we handle wheat and nuts.
DELIVERY AND COLLECTION
Orders can be delivered and it cost 50p/mile for the round trip. All delivery times are subject to availability. We will always endeavour to deliver by the given time, however unfortunately delivery timings cannot be guaranteed for different traffic conditions. Refunds will not be given for delayed deliveries. If in the unlikely event the delivery is delayed, we will always make sure that we deliver your order as soon as possible.
In case you are collecting the cake from us, we advise you to follow our suggestions:
The delivery vehicle should have a flat non-slip surface and make sure that it is clean and tidy, so that nothing can slide/fall on the cake. As cakes are very fragile, we also advise you to drive very slowly and carefully. In case of very warm weather, we recommend for the air conditioning to be on.
SETTING UP AT YOUR VENUE
Should you require your cake to be delivered, will deliver and set up your cake as agreed and will ensure that it is displayed at its best. It is your responsibility to ensure that you have provided us with the set-up details and arrangements made with the venue. Please ensure, that the cake location is level, stable and strong enough to hold the cake.
Please also remember that certain cake covers, such as chocolate or butter cream can melt in warm conditions. (direct sunlight, hot marquee, etc.) Once the cake has been collected or delivered and set up we take a photograph prior to departure to verify that the cake has been left in perfect condition. After it has been signed for, we cannot accept liability for any damage.
A shelf life and Best Before Date will be provided on the Delivery Note. This is advisory only. Please note, once cakes have been cut into the shelf life will be reduced.
NON-EDIBLE INGREDIENTS / DECORATIONS
Our products may contain non-edible ingredients/decorations, such as plastic dowels, wires of the flowers, real flowers. These will be detailed on the Delivery Note and must be removed before serving or eating.
If you wish to make a complaint, please do so in writing and include all evidence of damage or faulty. Any refunds will be given entirely at our discretion.
CAKE STAND HIRE
We offer cake stand hire for £15/stand. The hire fee and a security deposit needs to be paid in advance. The stand should be returned within 3 working days. In case the stand is damaged or not returned, the deposit will not be refunded. Once the stand is returned within 3 days, and we agree it is not damaged we will issue a refund of the deposit in 2 working days.
